Canon PowerShot D10 12.1 MP Waterproof Digital Camera
Users rave about the Canon Powershot D10 Waterproof Digital Camera justifying it to be included in our choice among the best waterproof digital cameras.
The waterproof Canon Powershot D10 is suitable for quality underwater shots, use in icy cold conditions and is rugged enough for action junkies including children. It is designed for use in situations where the last thing you want to think about is the camera settings.
With a host of automatic functions, image stabilisation, autofocus and evolved face detection, everything happens pretty automatically, producing great results. The Digic IV image processor means that the response is fast and accurate. The shape may appear a bit ‘retro’, but it works and at just 6.9 oz. (200gm) it is super light in your pocket.
The limitations in the camera lies in the ISO range which goes to 1600 max and the Video function which is not HD… and oh yes, if you don’t know where you are, this camera is not going to tell you with a GPS function.
Still, on average the the camera scores well above four stars in recent reviews… See further down.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best underwater (Waterproof) Point & Shoot Camera, July 7, 2011
By Stevenchenmm
This review is from: Canon PowerShot D10 12.1 MP Waterproof Digital Camera with 3x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.5-inch LCD (Electronics)
“…I used Olympus underwater camera last year but the picture quality is not as good as Canon. …I got good underwater pictures and outdoor pictures of my family.
Canon point & shoot has a lot of still picture exposure control (Not included in most of the point & shoot camera) …
If you don’t know these features, auto and program did everything.
…Video quality shows some noise under low light conditions. No special program for underwater video but still picture does. …For its price, I recommend this camera for underwater photos and videos.5.0 out of 5 stars An Amazing Camera, July 5, 2011
By MadHatterNJ “Nat” (NJ) –
“…This is a great camera. It takes clear shots and zooms in well. It is also durable, so it will survive being banged against the wall or banister while hanging on your wrist. H.
This camera is very user friendly…Overall, this is a great camera. “5.0 out of 5 stars 66 ft deep, July 4, 2011
By Janetk
“…I bought this to go on a trip, worried about getting my “nice” camera wet. I took it SCUBA diving, I thought it might make the depth and if not I wasn’t out that much money. This little guy went to 66 ft with me. Two separate dives all kinds of great shots, the others on the dive boat were fascinated. It also took great shots on land, at the beach in full sun and even overcast. …It is oddly shaped, but not unbearably so. Easy to charge the battery and the functions are pretty simple. …”
4.0 out of 5 stars Super waterproof camera, July 3, 2011
By Dave
“…This camera was exactly what I was looking for–namely a rugged camera that I could take on a boat or to the beach, … The picture quality is excellent, as long as you remember to wait while pressing the button down halfway in order to let the camera focus… it is a little bigger and bulkyer then my previous PowerShot camera
5.0 out of 5 stars Best waterproof camera out there, June 25, 2011
By SueE “SueE” (Huntington Station, NY United States)
“…After much research online, I bought this camera. The customer reviews seemed to be the best. I wish the zoom buttons were easier. I have to look every time to see which is zoom in and which is zoom out. Wonderful, bright, sharp and colorful pics with this camera. Amazing in a pool. Good in the ocean. It’s so great to not worry about getting your camera wet! …”
5.0 out of 5 stars FAR BETTER PIC QUALITY THAN EXPECTED, June 24, 2011
By Terri
“…Bought camera for Key West Snorkeling trip. The quality of the pictures both underwater and above were so good, that this has now turned into the camera that I take everywhere. I have a digital SLR and a point and shoot, the ease of the D10 has now replaced those two cameras! Well worth the money. …”
