Positive Review Points:

Several users confirmed the amazing physical ruggedness, waterproofing and cold weather usage of the TS3.  Underwater shots produce excellent results and so do outdoor shots.

On the down side:

Battery life may be an issue.  It will give you around 300 photos.  If that is not enough, you might consider carrying a second battery.  Along with the charger that will be all you need to pack.

Outdoor photo quality is excellent. Photography in poor light or indoor quality can be better and it is advisable not to test the ISO to its limits.

The GPS feature is not without its problems.  It uses a lot of battery power and needs to be in open space to find the satelites.

Conclusion

If you understand the camera’s limitations this is an excellent Waterproof Compact Digital Camera, well worth the price at around $300.
