Capture the power and beauty of wildlife, birds, travel destinations, and exciting sports action close-ups with this high-performance 150-600mm long-range zoom. VC (Vibration Compensation) and USD (Ultrasonic Silent Drive) enable you to shoot crisp images of fast-moving, distant subjects handheld, while proprietary Tamron optical technology, including eBAND Coating, works to suppress flare and ghosting for impressively clear, vibrant images. Three LD (Low Dispersion) elements are effectively deployed to correct chromatic aberrations, a challenging problem when shooting at long distances and at long focal-length settings. Tamron’s eBAND Coating and BBAR (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection) Coating help suppress flare and ghosting for class-leading image quality.VC (Vibration Compensation) is Tamron’s proprietary image stabilization system. Tamron’s VC is a three-coil system, whereby three driving coils activate the shake-compensating VC lens group electromagnetically via three ceramic ball bearings. The quiet high-torque USD motor ensures a speedy and accurate autofocus response. This new coating technique developed by Tamron deploys a Nano-structured layer (1 nm = 1/1,000,000mm) of ultra-low refractive index, with dimensions smaller than the wavelengths of visible rays of light. This Nano-structured layer coupled with the sophisticated multiple layer coatings underneath, yields significant anti-reflection properties, efficiently reducing undesired flare and ghosting to an absolute minimum to deliver sharp, crisp images. While covering a very wide range of focal lengths, this lens is remarkably compact and accepts 95mm filters. Its stylish design with signature Tamron tungsten silver finish and elegant brand ring incorporates a sturdy tripod mount to enhance both stability and ease of use. Moisture-resistant construction helps prevent moisture from penetrating the lens. Products not sold by Tamron Authorized USA Dealers in the USA are considered gray market and as such do not qualify for rebates (if applicable), warranty, service or repair of any kind in the USA. Tamron USA, Inc. will not repair and/or service any product that is not an officially imported product and sold through an Authorized Tamron USA Dealer. In other words, there will be no authorized repair service under any circumstance for gray market products, including but not limited to any available firmware updates. Due to the proprietary technology incorporated in Tamron lenses, specific factory calibrated equipment is required to service many of our lenses and therefore Tamron USA, Inc. does not authorize any third party service center to repair and/or service Tamron products. Tamron USA, Inc. maintains a 3-day turnaround for all Tamron USA products sent in for service. Furthermore, third party warranties are not serviced through Tamron USA, Inc. and are therefore invalid in that they are not able to offer service for these lenses for the reasons stated above. Only Tamron USA lenses purchased from an Tamron Authorized USA Dealer come with a 6 Year USA Factory Warranty (see http://www.tamron-usa.com/support/warranty_statement.pdf ), the only warranty that is valid for service in the USA. CAUTION WHEN PURCHASING ON THE INTERNET: Some major shopping websites employ third party sellers to enrich their offerings. Therefore, purchases made on a specific website may NOT be sold, shipped, or even supplied by that website, but rather by a third party marketplace seller that may or may not be a Tamron Authorized USA Dealer – even though that website itself may be listed as a Tamron Authorized USA Dealer. If purchasing through a website listed as a Tamron Authorized USA Dealer, please verify that the product itself is being sold and shipped directly by that website or, if not, sold and supplied by a seller that is listed as a Tamron Authorized USA Dealer.
